I signed up for the application support package with subsidised editing. I has 2 virtual sessions with Kevin and we went through my SOP, he gave me tips on the flow. After the final session, the editors took a look and corrected a few things. I would definitely recommend the application support, not sure how the extra editing benefited me but the SOP help was great, I could also ask questions about other parts of my application if there was extra time. I was able to get 3 interview invites, waitlisted by one school and accepted by another.

I used International Dentist Central during my year off when I knew my handskills would probably begin to lag. I didn't have a ton of experience to begin with so I enjoyed using this program because it was in the comfort of my own home. Also the tutorials go over basic questions that sometimes we as dentists may feel too embarrased to ask at such a late stage. At times the critques can be hard to hear, but I will say over time when I would practice I knew how to correct myself because Dr. Alyssa had already corrected me in a previous feedback. I would highly recommend this program especially if your confidence is low and you want to build on your skills. Dr Alyssa will teach you what these programs expect to see so you won't be taken off guard. I also used IDC to learn how to interview for US programs. Personally, I would recommmend the tutorial where Dr. Kevin goes over how to give a concise explanation of what you have to offer in just a few sentences. I used his method verbatim at just about every interview and it always moved my interview forward in a positive direction. Overall, I highly recommend IDC 🙂

I am so thankful to Dr. Alyssa and her team for helping me out. To be very honest, I prepared for my bench test with her for less than three weeks (not an example to be followed, starting early is always the best thing to do!) and I made it into UCLA, the first school to invite me for the test. Dr. Alyssa was very straightforward in letting me know where I stood and what I needed to do. The most unique and informative part of the course was that I was able to see her critique not only for my preps but also for other candidate's preps. I did not have to wait for her feedback to proceed further because I constantly had so much material in hand from her previous critiques for other candidates. In such a small amount of time, I really feel that this aspect of the course helped me out tremendously! The course follows a step-by-step pattern where there's a theoretical part to it and then the actual prep being demonstrated. So, the course provided me clear direction which I believe all students look for once they start preparing for their bench-test. I first came upon the International Dentist Central (IDC) last year and knew immediately that this was what i wanted. This is because i have a full time job and there are limits in the amount of time I could spare to attend in-person programs. it was also much more affordable too. I got in on the complete package via the Colorado special they ran at the time and Folks, let me tell you: It IS the complete package.There's a treasure trove of information. pretty much EVERYTHING you need is available. The interview mastery by Kevin really played a major role in helping me answer those questions such as tell me about yourself, a question that is so vague and can be easily messed up but one is certain to encounter.Kevin even went as fat as posting an answer to my specific situation which i didn't know how to effectively answer. Dr Alyssa is so helpful with her teaching, taking everything step by step and i mean everything was covered. The feedback sessions with her are very crucial and helpful. Well. Getting to a Dental school is never easy. It is both challenging and stressful for international students. Clearing both exams, gathering up all the required documents for CAAPID, God! It was never a cake walk. After getting an interview, I was really hyper-stressed, anxious and scared to hell. I researched many Bench-Test Preparatory courses across the United States but I had to pick one which is financially feasible and one that is online due to my location constraints. Among them, Alyssa Marshall course seemed reasonable with price and also convenient enough to practice at home. But it didn't take long for me to realize that I made the right decision by joining her course. After I joined the course things got very clear- which school wants what in the tooth preparation. Her videos are damn good. I cannot stress more on it. She gives feedback within 24 hours and even lets you review other students feedback. Trust me they were very useful for me. Dr. Alyssa, in her feedback sessions, points out very fine details that examiners at the university use to triage applicants. Every Dental school has its own norm of tooth preparation and the schools specifically check for those particular features during the bench test. Dr. Alyssa knows everything. She gave me interview practice sessions before the interview and took one on one session after the interview to discuss. I came across your course and I subscribed to the free email. A friend of mine also lend me your book. I made a note book and divided it into sections : SOP, application essays, letter of recommendation, volunteer work and interview questions. I really wanted to attend your course but because I live in Pennsylvania it was a little difficult for me so I attended a week course at a dental school closed to home which was way very expensive but didn't satisfy me. But just in the light of the guidance that I got through your emails, book and videos I wrote my SOP, volunteered at various places, obtained good LORs and got 7 interview calls. I was in the first batch every where. I attended interviews from UIC, Umich, Upenn and Temple and declined Upitt, Pacific and Tufts. I am writing this review as I am confident that people looking for bench test help, do not have to look elsewhere. Dr. Alyssa & Kevin are versatile teachers; to be specific, they are good at observing your style of learning and teaching, accordingly. Their course is a single stop for everything you need for interviews and bench tests. They make your goal their priority. For example, they were in touch with me until the day I called to say I made it; however, I never heard from them later. As a result, I got accepted to the first dental school I received an interview call from, and it turned out to be my dream school - LLUSD. From my experience, I can suggest every international dentist wishing to study in a US dental school not to be overconfident, and not to try their skills on a bench exam itself. If you want to be successful in this admission competition, you have to be prepared really well both for skill assessment tests and interviews. I got acceptance from USC ASPID Class of 2016. My interview and bench test was quite okay, however they kept me on alternate list. Recently, they had send their first alternate list results and I got acceptance. I would like to thank you for all your help and guidance. I was accepted to UCLA! I felt great about the bench exam. Your tips and guidance improved my skills so much! I honestly felt that my best prep and class II that I had done the entire time in Cali, was on the bench exam! I killed it! You would have been proud. Also, the following week from the UCLA exam, I had another bench exam for an AEGD Program in Miami. I used the same principles you taught me to do a pfm prep on #19 and a class II (m-o & o-l) on a #3. I did great! I used things I learned like bur depth, chisel and gmt use, and margin finishing to do a great job on that exam, which was on a mounted dentoform! I actually got accepted to the program in Miami, also! I found myself in the position to have to choose between 2 great programs that both accepted me! (Crazy!). I chose the AEGD Program in Miami, for a few reasons. (Deleted for privacy) Thank you so much for everything! Also my interviews were great thanks to the tips I learned! I really learned so much from you! I have already told a few friends about you, who will contact you when their time is ready.

Hi everyone, whoever prepares to bench exam or interview in any dental school. I think the best solution is the international dentist central courses. I’ve tried before and it was amazing. there are 2 types of courses one is intensive in-person course and the other is the online bench test intensive. I applied for both because I've not been working as a dentist for more than 6 years. The price is reasonable and Dr. Marshall is so friendly and she gave me all support to build again my skills and confidence. Only few students in the class so she gives attention to everyone. Also, she prepared me for the interview through the mock interview session and she showed me how I can improve my performance during the interview and that makes a big difference.

My experience with Dr.Alyssa and Kevin was truly amazing. Working with her in the live course gave me a huge insight of where I was going wrong. In just 2 days, my work started improving and I worked my way upto getting that acceptance, which was not possible without her guidance. First, I would like to introduce myself. I was dumbfounded with the the level of competition which I experienced in the first cycle. So, I attended a bench course in California. Sadly it did not help me at all. I enrolled for the online course after getting my 4th interview call. I didn’t make it into the 3 interviews I attended before, so when I got an interview from Howard I wanted to do really well, it was my last chance this year. The online course was really good. Dr. Alyssa took into consideration that my exam was in just one week. She catered the course to my needs and made some videos just for me instead of just saying it was not available. The prep feedbacks came back so soon too which helped me. When I send it in I wanted it the next day so I can improve from the day before. I’d definitely suggest everybody to take a bench test prep course before they even go for an interview or a bench test. We are almost broke after applying everywhere and this online course is a cheaper option. It’s great value for your money. You definitely have to have some kind of course before going for the bench test. I have 4 years of experience practicing and I thought I’d be fine at first. It’s harder for people who worked as a dentist for several years to go for a course, but a bench test is a different ball game altogether. I didn’t get that until I failed 3 interviews. I remember how Dr. Alyssa said to take each interview as a golden opportunity. I didn’t do that at first. When I got several interview calls I thought I’d have multiple acceptances. The interview and bench test at Howard was the toughest and most comprehensive of all interviews I went to this year. I don’t think I would’ve made it in if I didn’t enroll in the course.

After having not performed very well with my bench exam at one of the interviews, actually two, I knew that I needed professional help with my hand skills. I was lucky though, as I was receiving multiple interview calls from some very good programs. Therefore, I had to pull up my socks and not screw the interviews and technical exams that were in my hand. However, I could feel from the first pages that this book was going to help me not only to understand the process of becoming a dentist in this country, but also to give me the courage to say "I can do this". This book is written in a very organized manner and it is simple to read. The book is comprehensive and covers topics such as what exams to take and where to study (thanks to these tips I have passed the NDB part 1). This also has lists of all Advanced Standing Programs, Residences,and all the possibilities to become a dentist depending on the state in which you want to practice. I bought the kindle version and it is surprisingly easy to find information about the requirements of each program. This is the best and unique guide for all international dentist who want to work in the United States. Thanks you Dr. Alyssa ?

Before reading this guide book, I had no idea how to register as a dentist in US. The information I searched on different websites just confused me a lot. Thanks to Dr. Alyssa for all the details she provided in this book. It's definitely a must-read if you wanna practice in US.

A friend of mine recommended this book and I have to say that it is a "Must Have" for every international dentist looking to obtain their license in the US. This book will take you step-by-step in the process of applying to any program (DDS, DMD or a Dental Residency). The best way for me to describe this book is like having a good friend explaining what to do, saving you a lot of time! It is very well documented with the information about all the programs out there. It also will explain exactly what to study for each test. I made it last year to interviews for a residency program. This book has helped me improve the way I am presenting myself this year!! I wish I had this book when I started my process, I am sure it would had saved me a lot of time, money and effort.

Working with IDC was an enriching experience!I learned a lot in the 5 days I spent with Dr. Alyssa. She encourages her students to keep striving for perfection and that motivation kept me going. When I saw her do a preparation in front of me, the ease and perfection with which she did it made me want to make preparations just like her. Even after the course, she was always available to help. Her reminder emails would be a boost for the days I would feel lazy, low or under-confident.The online videos were amazing and I kept referring to them every single time I did my preparation. The feedback really helped me improve on my weak points and I really appreciate Dr. Alyssa's feedback for the many preparations I submitted. I got invited to an interview in a Top 10 Dental School and I did not know what a Bench Exam was. I found Dr. Marshall on a web search and I took her 1 week course in Santa Monica CA, this course proved to me exactly what I needed. I graduated a long time ago from a foreign Dental School and this course was a great refresher of everything I learned then. This course taught me about different approaches that Dental Schools in the US teach and so it gave me the insight to do very well in the Bench Exam. Dr. Marshall is very professional, approchable and also super patient and she likes to take care of every detail, if you have a question she will answer the best way possible. Her staff is also very nice, the equipment she uses is in perfect shape and they also provided us with food for breakfast, lunch and snacks (healthy food in general). I am very thankful and I can highly recommend Dr. Marshall if you are looking to prepare for the Bench Exam.

I strongly believe that taking the international dentist course with Dr Marshall has really helped me a lot in preparing for my bench test and my interview as well. In the online courses was really useful and did prepare me for the intensive (in person ) course. In the intensive course Dr. Marshall watches while you are working and guides you step by step and gives you a feedback so that you can work on the points that you missed till you actually get it . The mock interview was also a great help, it helped me in organizing my thoughts and answers and it gave me a great confidence during the interview .

This prep course saved my life! I was out of practice and had gotten the call to come in for a bench test at UCLA. I went into total panic of course and that’s when I found this course online. Besides all the online help, Dr. Alyssa gave such helpful hints and guidance, not to mention encouragement, during the in-person practice week. I really enjoyed my mock interview with Dr. Marshall of International Dentist Central. She guided me for my every question. I was nervous as it was my first interview but now i know basics of the interview and learned a lot. I would like to suggest this mock interview sessions of international dental central for everyone.

Whoever prepares for the Bench exam or an interview in any dental school, I think the best solution is the International Dentist Central courses. I've tried before and it was amazing. there are 2 types of courses one is Intensive in-person course and the other is the 'Online Bench Test Intensive'. I applied for both because I've not been working as a dentist for more than 6 years. The price is reasonable and Dr. Marshall is so friendly. She gave me all the support to re-build my skills and confidence. There are only a few students in the class so she gives attention to everyone. Also, she prepared me for the interview through the mock interview session and she showed me how I can improve my performance during the interview and that makes a big difference.

I enrolled for the online course after getting my 4th interview call. I didn’t make it into the 3 interviews I attended before, so when I got an interview from Howard I wanted to do really well, it was my last chance this year.The online course was really good. Dr. Alyssa took into consideration that my exam was in just one week. She catered the course to my needs and made some videos just for me instead of just saying it was not available. The prep feedbacks came back so soon too which helped me. When I send it in I wanted it the next day so I can improve from the day before.I’d definitely suggest everybody to take a bench test prep course before they even go for an interview or a bench test. We are almost broke after applying everywhere and this online course is a cheaper option. It’s great value for your money. You definitely have to have some kind of course before going for the bench test. I have 4 years of experience practicing and I thought I’d be fine at first. It’s harder for people who worked as a dentist for several years to go for a course, but a bench test is a different ball game altogether. I didn’t get that until I failed 3 interviews. I remember how Dr. Alyssa said to take each interview as a golden opportunity. I didn’t do that at first. When I got several interview calls I thought I’d have multiple acceptances.The interview and bench test at Howard was the toughest and most comprehensive of all interviews I went to this year. I don’t think I would’ve made it in if I didn’t enroll in the course.

I am writing this review as I am confident that people looking for bench test help, do not have to look elsewhere. Dr. Alyssa & Kevin are versatile teachers; to be specific, they are good at observing your style of learning and teaching, accordingly. Their course is a single stop for everything you need for interviews and bench tests. They make your goal their priority. Dear folks: I highly recommend their services. If you wanna dream big… you might have to spend big.. at the end when have that acceptance letter in your hand, you will realize it’s totally worth it! I purchased almost all their services: editing, mock interview, bench exam intensive course, and in person 5 days course and tried to make all work show and online meetings. Meetings and mock interviews were very informative, inspiring and encouraging. Writing was huge problem for me as I’m not native speaker.
